Kevin Frazier

Lawfare

Kevin Frazier joined the St. Thomas University College of Law as an Assistant Professor of Law in 2023. Prior to joining STU, Professor Frazier served as a Judicial Clerk to Chief Justice Mike McGrath of the Montana Supreme Court and conducted research for the Institute of Law & AI.

Professor Frazier's research explores the intersection of emerging technology, democratic design, and the law. This research focus has led him to investigate how new governance systems, such as Meta's Oversight Board, as well as older and neglected systems, such as state constitutions, have adjusted to an age of rapid technological advancement and institutional distrust. Several journals, including the Rutgers University Law Review and Tennessee Law Review, have published or will soon publish Professor Frazier's legal scholarship; his research has also led to opinion pieces in Lawfare, TechCrunch, the Harvard Kennedy School Review, and the San Francisco Chronicle. Professor Frazier has also been selected to share his research at several conferences, including TrustCon, and with important centers, such as the Existential Risk Lab at the University of Chicago.

Professor Frazier graduated from UC Berkeley School of Law with a J.D. in 2022. He is also a graduate of the Harvard Kennedy School, where he earned a M.P.A., and the University of Oregon, where he earned a B.S.
